I am having a bank account reconciliation problem with QuickBooks and so this post is created so that i can ask for help with the diagnosis. The problem seems clear:
- Transactions are uncleared and are correctly marked as uncleared in the bank account register as illustrated.
2. Yet the same uncleared transactions are included in the “Details”, “Checks and Payments cleared” section of the reconciliation report generated by QuickBooks. (I left the screenshot picture blurry for privacy but these transactions listed are the same as above). The result is that cleared checks are overstated in the reconciliation report.
Intuit confirmed that transactions marked as “cleared” and then marked as uncleared still show up as cleared checks in the reconciliation.
