New Jersey registered charities may wish to double-check their listing in the online NJ Charities Registration web page.
Recently the NJ Charities registration Section purged their online directory list and removed any organizations if any prior years’ CRI filing was not received. They continued to accept subsequent annual filings and apparently did not provide notice to the charity of the missing filing.
I have three charities affected that had no idea they were dropped from this important online tool that consumers use to check validity of a charity organization. So if you handle the filings for any NJ filings you might want to double-check the online directory.
To correct the problem, sent the missing CRI with the fee.
