Free dental plans?

Q: I am doing a report on how to obtain free dental plans for low-income people and I was wondering if you have any information.

A: We are not aware of any free dental plans other than those that may be offered through welfare or similar public assistance programs. The only legitimately free benefit plans are the prescription discount cards like FreedomBenefits.net. Prescription drug discount cards can be offered free of charge because part of the discount offered by the drug companies offsets the cost of issuing the discount card to consumers. This is not the case with dental plans. Ehealthdiscountplan.com seems to have the least expensive discount dental plans but they are not free.
