Insurance resources for diabetics

Q: I am a Health Insurance Broker in the state of Georgia. I have been in the insurance industry for over 12 years and I just began my career as an independent in July. I have a lot of people referred to me that are diabetics. Most companies will not insure them as you are probably aware of. Will your program be an option?

A: Most diabetics are eligible for some type of health insurance but these plans are not commissionable, so they are not usually offered through brokers except in special circumstances. See the recently updated article "Health Insurance for Diabetics" at FreedomBenefits.net that outlines the five ways that diabetics can obtain health insurance. Because of the special challenges faced by diabetics, I offer a fee-based planning service that helps address the larger and far-reaching issues that extend beyond finding health insurance. Free e-mail and telephone support is available for simple questions. Please see www.tonynovak.com/onlineadviser.htm for more information.
