Student health insurance in Colorado

Q: I have coverage under my
father's health plan in New York, but this coverage is not accepted by
doctors in Colorado where I go to school. Can I get coverage only to
supplement me while I am in Colorado?
A: The commercial student health
plans cover treatment with any doctor or hospital anywhere in the U.S.
but you can minimize the extra expense by specifying the specific
beginning and ending dates when you will be in Colorado. For example,
if you start college August 24 and will be returning home on December
13, then buy coverage only for that amount of time. For more details,
