Supplemental insurance for adult day care

originally posted: 11/22/2006  reposted: 2/18/2011 This post has not been recently reviewed or revised by the author and may be out of date. If in doubt, please send a new question or ask for an update.

Q: I am a social worker at an adult day healthcare center. At this time, I am looking for supplemental health insurance to cover what Medicare does not. Please call me or email information.

A: OnlineAdviser does not offer outbound telephone support under the free services but your question can be included in the free e-mail support. Please see www.basichealthinsurance.net for supplemental policies that can be issued to individuals under age 65 who are already in an adult day care facility. Once issued, the policy can stay in force until age 70. The policy pays a cash indemnity that can be used to supplement out-of-pocket expenses. Coverage for pre-existing medical conditions starts after the policy has been in force for six months. All policy information, pricing and enrollment are handled directly online.
