Q:
If I submit an application for ValueMed insurance by fax on the 21st or 22nd of June, when would the policy go into effect?
A:
Normally this type of insurance would be effective on the 1st day of August. The usual cutoff date is the 20th for an effective date of the following 1st of the month.
Other types of insurance, most notably short term medical insurance, can be started
within one day.
Value Med insurance always starts on the first day of the month.
