Beginning in 2022, pro bono services will be provided through Raising Nonprofits, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
I provide some services without charge to individuals who lack the income or resources to pay for this help. These services are provided under the same terms and conditions detailed in an engagement agreement as other paid services. The only difference is that instead of an invoice, these clients are offered a Pro Bono Service Agreement. A sample is posted below.
We agree that this Pro Bono Service Agreement does not alter any provision of the Engagement Agreement except that the “Invoice” referred to is replaced with this “Pro Bono Service Agreement”. The terms “I” and “You” have the same meanings as in the engagement agreement in referring to our respective business organizations and associates as appropriate.
I agree to provide the specified services under the terms and conditions specified and will not charge a fee.
You agree to abide by all of the terms of the Engagement Agreement and, additionally, agree to:
- Provide written reviews of our business on these sites on or before the end of the engagement:
- Discuss our services as appropriate with your associates, friends and family, including on social media.
- If requested, you agree to be named as a reference for another potential client for a period of one year following the end of the engagement.
I thank Sebastian Meine, PhD. with Simple Fast Marketing for teaching me the importance of arranging pro bono service agreements properly.
