"You can be young without money but you can’t be old without it." – Tennessee Williams
I am tired of supporting people who don’t understand the importance of sound financial management. I used to be the same way and so I’ve been spending time thinking about what triggered the transformation in the hope that I can help impart that to others. In the meanwhile, I just have to insulate myself from the damages of others’ financial mistakes. I bought an old truck at auction today for $700 and will fix it up to use primarily for hauling building materials. This is a smarter decision for me than buying a newer car. Even so, the cost climbed to above $2,000 today after adding in the fix-up costs, insurance, taxes, title, registation and other fees. Life is expensive!
