Smart handling of gasoline is part of many small business operations and a disaster preparedness plan.

Gasoline contaminated with water can significantly impair engine performance, resulting in rough idling, reduced power output, higher fuel consumption engines that just won’t start or stay running. These problems not only compromise the efficiency of autos, boats, and equipment but also undermine their overall reliability.

We use this protocol to protect engines from contaminated fuel:

1-Use fuel treatment like Sea Foam

2-Change fuel filters annually

3-Use in-line see-trough fuel filers on fuel tank pumps

4-Use only solid caps on stored gas cans

5-Use only high grade pourers, not original equipment plastic pourers

6-Do not leave pourers on stored gas cans

7-Rotate stored fuel every few months

8-Keep tubing with small battery operated pump and filter assembly to clean fuel in an emergency

9-Use Gasoila AP Paste to test stored fuel

10-use ethanol-free gas for long term storage

When there is an engine problem, always assume bad gas first. Experience shows us that this is a statistically valid logical assumption.
