I am pleased to expand free online and telephone tax help for the 2014 tax filing season through OnlineAdviser service. This may be especially important this year since the IRS announced that less than 50% of callers will get through after a 30 minute wait on hold. I've been pleased to offer some type of free consumer tax support since 1995 when I completed the IRS preparer assistance program that was designed to provide in-person support for elderly and low income taxpayers. Lately alomost all tax service and support is provided online.
My affiliation with 1040.com allows me to extend OnlineAdviser service to individual tax filers anywhere in the U.S. who use that service to e-file federal, state or local income tax returns. The web site shares its revenue with tax advisers like us to encourage improved personal support for the web-based service. OnlineAdviser has provided free support for online financial transactions for tens of thousands of consumers nationwide since 1997. THIS SERVICE DOES NOT EXTEND TO ALL FILERS AND IS NOT USEFUL IN ALL SITUATIONS. The complete Terms of Service are posted at OnlineAdviser.org.
Accesing live help is easy; just follow these 3 steps:
1) Register online at 1040.com including the agreement to the terms of service.
2) Forward the email confirmation you receive to onlineadviser@live.com.
3) Look for my email response listing choices for up to 8 time slots to schedule a call or online meeting. Simply choose the appointment time that best suits your schedule.
