Free technology tools for nonprofit organizations

Both Google and Microsoft offer free services to nonprofit organizations. I often suggest that organizations that pay for these services might free up some cash to redeploy to other productive use (not surprisingly including the nonprofit advisory services that I partner with).

Google explains its nonprofit services in this video. Services include:
AdGrants – Drive Google.com search engine traffic to your organization’s website with our monthly $10,000 USD advertising grant.
YouTube creator studio – for nonprofits with 1000+ subscribers
OneToday – Simplify giving & matching with a streamlined mobile experience, engaging donors across social media platforms.
Maps – Custom map of your donors or project sites.

Microsoft offers its Office products to registered charities that meet eligibility criteria. Nonprofit organizations must be registered with TechSoup. See their registration web site to get started.

For more information on improving performance of nonprofit organizations, request a copy of my booklet “What every nonprofit  board member should know”. It is free to officers and directors of nonprofit organizations.
