- Use the word “because”
- Speak to value
- Make a clear ask
- Offer to take if offline
- Avoid these phrases:
- “Checking in”
- “Touching base”
- “Following up”
- Use good subject lines:
- “Question about your blog post on LinkedIn”
- “Meeting information for Monday, 1/8”
- “New data: 50% of e-filers get a refund within 3 weeks”
- avoid asking questions
- keep it short
- Use this format:
- Opening greeting
- Reason for emailing
- Details
- Call-to-action
- Closing greeting
